Help:User nodes
When you registered, a node with your username as the title was automatically created (under the User: namespace).
Uses
The purpose of user nodes is threefold:
- It is a profile page, you may design it however you like
- to showcase yourself
- your contact information
- your work
- or you can simply leave it blank
- It is a communication point a hub around which information useful and interesting to your flows.
- You may contribute entries to your user node
- Others may contribute to send you messages and files you may be interested in.
- Social network relationships
- View the members of a your 'hood
- When viewing another user's user node you can add them to your 'hood by clicking the link.
Finding Your User Node
- After you've logged-in with your username and password you will see a link at the top-right corner of the screen that looks like this: User:MyUsername .
- It will also appear under the Users heading on the Browse page.
- And wherever there is a file or article added by a person their name will be linked to their user node.
Editing Your User Node
- Navigate to your user node.
- Click edit in the at the top of the screen.
